Risan Media’s Todd Anders Johnson was able to interview Colorado State Representative Julie McCluskie at the State Capitol this past week to discuss climate impacts in Colorado and the state's leadership in developing and implementing policies supporting renewable energy and sustainability. Representative McCluskie is the Speaker for the Colorado House of Representatives and is the Representative for House District 13, which includes Chaffee, Grand, Jackson, Lake, Park, and Summit Counties.

In Cresta Alta, join Todd on a 10 day backpacking expedition to the McCall Glacier in the Alaskan Arctic National Wildlife Refuge with Dr. Matt Nolan; setting up basecamp at the Gamma Glacier in the Olivares Basin, high in the Chilean Andes with Dr. Sebastian Mernild; trekking to Lake Pacacocha, situated at 15,000 feet in elevation, in the Peruvian Cordillera Blanca with Dr. Rachel Chisolm; joining the Icelandic Glaciological Society jeeping up the Vatnajökull ice cap to conduct ice core drilling and meeting with the President of Iceland to discuss his experiences and perspectives on climate change impacts in Iceland.

Risan Studies screened The Cresta Alta Film at Summit High School in Breckenridge, Colorado in September for the 9th and 10th grades in partnership with the Summit Sustainability Club and environmental science teacher, Jon Wischmeyer.
